• Anyone who has ever wondered what goes on at those “institutions of higher learning“ will enjoy this book. And everyone who has ever attended one, must read this book. As a baby boomer myself, it was fun to read about (from a safe distance of 30 years) and remember, all the hassles, the bizarre professors and ultimately the joy of earning a college education.
  
  Sara Kras has a delightful, informal elegance about her writing. The reader can’t help but root for her, laugh with her and easily relate to the odd challenges that came her way as she fought for and earned a degree, the hard way. Four years of contradictory advice from councilors, mind numbing inefficiency and egocentric professors makes for a compelling story on its own, but it's so much more interesting through the eyes of a 50 something year-old adult.
  
  Having shared many of the same experiences Ms. Kras did about 30 years ago, I literally had a hard time putting this book down and completed it in a little over one day.
  
  I highly recommend this book.
• As someone who went back to school in my 40’s, I can totally relate to the anecdotes and experiences that Sara had... her story is told in such a refreshing, entertaining way and I appreciate all her valuable advice on how to deal with over- zealous professors. Her different recommendations on how to study are thoughtful and informative. I look forward to the next chapter in her life!
• It was really interesting to follow the author's journey as she struggled through college during middle age. There is some good advice in this book and she tells a funny and engaging story along the way.
