100 Most Disgusting Things on the Planet Anna Claybourne 9781682974186 Books Reviews
- My son absolutely loves this totally disgusting book . A friend of mine recommended it for him since her son is quite the fan of these .
It features everything from cockroaches to worms to everything gross you can imagine . Not the best book for dinner time conversation but at least he's engaging with it . I do love the fact that it's encouraging his reading . I'm sure we will be purchasing more in the future . I'm sure girls would easily enjoy this as well . - My daughter bought this book at a Scholastic book fair specifically because, as she said, she wanted to gross me out. She absolutely loves reading it by herself and to her siblings and friends. She was thrilled when she made me read the section on the cockroach and I screamed when I learned that they can run on their hind legs. It is a truly disgusting book. Your kids will love it!
- This is our second of this series (we have the Most Deadliest things on the planet). My 6 year old hasn't seen it yet (Xmas gift) but he LOVES his other book.. goes back to it and re-reads over and over again ... I'm sure this one will be as big of a hit! (I'll update if he feels differently)! ;)
- My son and his best friend LOVED this book when they had it in the classroom. He was so disappointed when school ended because he wouldn't get to read this book any more. So I got it for him as a end of the year surprise and he loved it. He has been so excited to share with all of us all the gross but interesting things in the book. It is interesting, and you might actually learn something you didn't know. Great book for boys, for sure!
- this little book was a hit! my nephew loves gross things.. hes a boy.. so it makes sense. but he also loves to learn new things and his brain is like a sponge.. once he reads about something, that's it - he will know it forever! this book showed some pretty nasty things, but it gives little blurbs along with the picture. so its pretty interesting. thanks!
- Nothing new here but it's well written, includes good visuals and is pretty accurate. This book would be great in a classroom for extra reading, or as a gift for kids ages 7 and up.
- My boys discovered this series at our Scholastic Book Fair and had to have every other book in the series! They spend hours pouring over these books, reading and rereading, memorizing facts and retelling stories. My children started reading this series in 1st grade, and continue re-reading them two years later.
- My son loves this line of books. It's particularly great for kids who are grade level readers (grade 2 or above) but find chapter books daunting. With these books, it's one page per disgusting topic excellent. And it's also great because it helps their retention, they really want to tell you all the gross things they learned.
