I purchased this for a graduation gift for a friend going into fashion and I will give it to her, but it is contents are definitely more childish than I expected."

- One of my favorite items and an excellent fancy gift w/ a bottle of champagne or wine!
- Cute book. Perfect for coffee table decor or a nice sweet gift. Did not like how it did not ship sealed and protected though.
- The Little Dictionary of Fashion is an interesting period piece. Some things are still valid to our sense of modern dress and other things are charming but very dated. When you read this book you should take into consideration the time and values of the day.
- This wonderful little book gives the reader a glimpse of Christian Dior's philosophy of dress. Example "cuffs do for the hands what a collar does for the face -- they make a frame for lovely wrists and fingers." He elaborates in a few sentences, while the accompanying sketches show several examples. Today, when dress tends to be so in your face, it's good to be reminded that subtlety is a much more effective option.
